The Wedding Fair in Zagreb Celebrates its 20th Year!

By 9 February 2018

One of the largest events dedicated to wedding-planning in this part of Europe will be held this weekend.

If you’ve ever planned a wedding, you know just how much work is involved. If you’ve ever planned a wedding in Croatia, you probably know that there’s this magical place called The Wedding Fair in Zagreb that can help you with all of that, and more. And, it’s been around for a long time, as this will be its 20th instalment, taking place in Arena Zagreb this weekend, February 9th until the 11th.

Organized by Adria Media, one of the largest publishing houses in Croatia, the fair is expected to host over 200 businesses from the so-called wedding industry, including wedding gown salons and designers, florists, photographers, cake-makers, interior decorators, cake makers, wedding organizers and others. In addition to the wide array of those presenting their products and services, the fair will also include 6 fashion shows (KOJE?!?!), raffle fundraiser with valuable prizes, sweets tastings, florist workshops, presentations of the newest wedding trends and numerous significant discounts offered to those planning their wedding in the near future. The fundraiser we mentioned is just a part of a humanitarian side of this event, as it is dedicated to helping the association of doctors, other medical staff and parents of children with congenital heart defects “Veliko srce malom srcu”. There are over 10000 children with such diseases in Croatia, with over 500 being born each year, and this fair wants to help them raise money for medical equipment and further development of pediatric cardiology in Croatia.

So, if you’re considering getting married in Croatia, this is most certainly a must-visit event for you, one that will help you find many answers to all your nuptials-related questions (although we’re sure it might bring up some new ones, you haven’t thought of before, but you’ll be happy it did), help you find the best in Croatia and maybe even get you some savings! On Saturday and Sunday the fair will be open from 10 am until 8 pm, and the entrance fee is just 15 kuna a day.
