February Filled With Food, Wine And Olive Oil Fairs

By 6 February 2015

Gastronomy, wines and olive oil became important part of tourism in Dalmatia, including Split, and it's not a surprise that fairs and festivals are getting more and more frequent. Still, it's not very common to have such events in the middle of the winter, and this February Split will host two of them.

First, Adriatic Gastro Show in Spaladium Arena February 19 to 22. As announced, they are intending to gather big names in gastronomy, tourism and wine industry, as well as producers and distributors of tourism and hosiptality equipment and furniture. As usual, there will be loads of food, wines and spirits, juices, pastries, but also travel agencies and other industry's players, from hotels to equipment suppliers. What is important, it's a regional event, meaning it gathers exhibitors from all over Southeast Europe, or Balkans, or former Yugoslavia, whatever you like to call it.

One of events included in this fair will be also Adriatic Eko Ethno & Wine Show, available through Facebook event.

Almost in the same time, but at the other side of the city, in hotel Zagreb near Znjan beach, on February 21 and 22 international fair Maslina is taking place, with olive and olive oil producers from all over Mediterranean. It's also a competition, and usually interesting festival of some of the best olive oils you can imagine. More info on Facebook event.
