Celebrate Hvar's UNESCO Heritage at the Festival of the Mediterranean Diet

By 18 August 2017

Celebrating one of Hvar's five UNESCO heritages from August 19, 2017 - the Festival of the Mediterranean Diet.

We all know that the Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest in the world, but did you know that Hvar's Mediterranean diet was declared at UNESCO intangible heritage in 2013? Combined with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Stari Grad Plain, the Za Krizen Easter procession, the agave lace of the Benedictine nuns in Hvar Town, and the klapa singing of southern Dalmatia, Hvar has the most UNESCO heritage of any island in the world.

It is a diet to be celebrated! See above more details of the Festival of the Mediterranean Diet which takes place next week, as well as in the video below.
