Texas Hold'em: Mazzgoon Travels South for a Weekend of Finger Lickin' Good BBQ

Calling all locals, expats, tourists, and anyone not opposed to a finger lickin’ good meal - Mazzgoon travels to Texas this weekend for a southern-barbecued good time!

After a few trips to Austin, Texas and a short stint in Nashville, Tennessee, I discovered a love for barbecue like I’d never experienced before. And while the city of Split is a mecca for foodies, with new tastes and flavors every alleyway you turn, one thing I’ve found that I truly miss in Split is Southern barbecue. 

Now, I know that this is not something I should expect Split to have, as it is, after all, nowhere near the the dirty South in the United States, but a girl can dream, right? 

Fortunately, my dreams have come true with the announcement of Mazzgoon’s latest food-filled event. Hold your horses, y’all, Mazzgoon is preparing for a weekend of Southern BBQ!

On the agenda this weekend at Mazzgoon is good old-fashioned Texas inspired BBQ - transforming this already vibrant alleyway in Split’s Ghetto to a scene straight out of the Wild Wild West. 

All weekend, no matter when you choose to tickle your tastebuds with a taste of the South, Mazzgoon will offer up their newest Texan specialities. 

So, what’s on the menu? 

How about smoked brisket prepared in the Green-Egg grill which cooks for 8-hours? Or, why not get your hands dirty with the smoked ribs in a Texas BBQ sauce with liquid smoke? And what about the fried potatoes with cheese and jalapeño peppers? Lucky for you, you can try them all.
