Croatian Q Agency Embraces Remote Work as Digital Age Edges Closer

November the 24th, 2021 - The Croatian Q Agency has embraced the modern remote work trend whole-heartedly as it offers the possibility to its employees, be they in their apartments in Zagreb or in a treehouse on a tropical island.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian Q Agency will permanently enable its employees to choose the model of work that suits them best - from the office, remotely or combined. They also decided on this move based on employee information, and to make it easier to hire people outside of the City of Zagreb.

The Croatian Q Agency is thus following current global trends that show that an increasing number of companies in the sector are giving employees the choice of whether they want to work from the office or from home. This sort of work has been popularised to unexpected levels as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which saw many companies make it an option when lockdowns were in force.

They are also announcing the further expansion of their business and the employment of yet more experts, who will be able to work from any city across Croatia thanks to this model of work.

The Croatian Q Agency's Filip Ljubic stated that it is perfectly fine for someone to apply for a job with them and ask to work from Bali, Zanzibar or from some small lighthouse in the middle of the Adriatic. "That's why we'll never ask anyone to come into the office again," Ljubic said.

The head of the People & Culture department at Q, Anja Oppenheimer Baresic, pointed out that their internal survey showed that 61 percent of their employees want to come to the office occasionally, while 21 percent want to work completely outside the office and do all they need to do remotely.

It's worth mentioning that this Zagreb-based company's multiple offices have been closed since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, while employee satisfaction indices and general feelings of belonging and loyalty to Q are extremely high.

Despite Coronavirus Crisis, Croatian Q Agency Plans Employment

March the 28th, 2021 - The Croatian Q Agency is planning on employing a significant number of people despite the continued economic woes caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, quite a lot of positive news has been flowing out of the Croatian IT sector lately, and some of that news comes directly from the Croatian Q agency, which has recently announced that it plans to increase its team by about 100 new experts in the coming year, which will increase the number of employees by over 50 percent.

The Zagreb-based Q agency has otherwise invested heavily in its sales team throughout the pandemic-dominated year, resulting in a large number of new clients and opportunities, which is why they're now looking for new and quality professionals to work on yet more of their projects.

"We're extremely proud of our team and our culture, and we always welcome new quality people with open arms. We currently have 15 positions open on our website and employment portals, but the actual number of people we need is much higher and we intend to open new additional positions in the near future,'' stated Tom Cvitkovic of the Croatian Q agency.

The local software company has already opened up quite a number of positions for developers in various technologies, both web and mobile - from PHP and JavaScript through Flutter to Ruby. The Croatian Q agency is also looking for experts in UX / UI design, DevOps and a number of QA engineers with experience in various ways of testing applications (apps).

The Croatian Q agency currently has over 180 experts working there, with offices in Zagreb, New York, Belfast and Zurich, and the list of clients it has worked for and with includes global brands, including Novartis, Coca Cola, Manpower and Volkswagen.

The company recently found itself on the list of 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe for the second time in a row, and last year it was rated one of the 20 best web development companies in the world by Clutch, the world's leading independent IT ranking agency.

Q Agency Expects Continued Growth and Stronger International Positioning

December the 1st, 2020 - The Q agency, a Croatian company within the IT sector, which is otherwise a blossoming sector in Croatia which could one day provide another set of laurels to lie on instead of just tourism, and although the coronavirus pandemic reigning strong throughout the year, this company has managed to adapt well.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the end of an incredibly tumultuous 2020 is now approaching, marking the drawing to a close of a totally unpredictable and uncertain year that will remain etched in the collective memory of global history. No one could have imagined that the coronavirus pandemic would affect our lives and the economy in such a deep and devastating way, but it happened. Despite this, many companies have managed to adapt to the new circumstances, and the Croatian Q agency was among them.

''This year was marked by internal processes for us in which we successfully switched to working from home, introduced as many as fifteen new benefits for Q agency employees, and we were among the few who even managed to hire new staff, in our case as many as 55 of them. In 2020, we achieved what are so far our highest revenues (55 million kuna), 9 out of 10 of our largest clients are leaders in their industries, when it comes to 10 out of 10 of our largest clients, we work directly with their headquarters, and we're also named one of the 20 best web development companies in the whole world. Our productivity jumped by 29 percent, which we proved with the launch of Jenz, a tool that helps companies communicate internally. The list of reasons is long so that this year, no matter what, isn't going to remain a bitter memory and I feel proud to have great employees, clients and partners,'' stated Filip Ljubic of the Croatian Q agency.

''The IT industry has proven to be quite resistant to disruptions, but one shouldn't be so naive to think that with the arrival of 2021, everything will just return to how it was before. We're facing a crisis due to the reduced volume of business of various industries, the problem of having a lack of senior developers in the labour market, and there are the expected smaller budgets for software solutions. However, due to the diversified portfolio of the industries in which we operate, we're not expect inga drop in revenue here at the Q agency. On the contrary, in 2021 we're expecting further growth, new clients and projects for which we're more than ready.

We're also seeing a big boom for our startup Jenz as more and more companies are moving towards the model of working from home. The year behind us has given us an important lesson, showing us how fragile we as a society are, and that some huge, strong companies have found themselves in trouble just because they work in an industry that is more affected than ours has been,'' concluded Ljubic.
