ZAGREB, April 22, 2018 - Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Irinej on Sunday held a liturgy for the victims of WWII Ustasha concentration camp in Jasenovac, in the local church in Mlaka near Jasenovac, and blessed the St Elijah temple.

Official State Commemoration Held at Jasenovac

ZAGREB, April 22, 2018 - The Jasenovac victims deserve a single, joint commemoration, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Sunday, after the official state commemoration to the Jasenovac WWII concentration camp victims ended, expressing confidence that an agreement regarding a joint commemoration would be reached with representatives of the Alliance of Associations of Antifascist Fighters and Antifascists (SABA) and the Serb National Council (SNV).

Plenković: Serbian Defence Minister Not Welcomed at Jasenovac

ZAGREB, April 21, 2018 - Commenting on the possibility that Serbia's Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin might attend Sunday's commemoration for the victims of the World War II Jasenovac concentration camp, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Saturday said that that wouldn't be a good idea due to his previously unacceptable statements.

Anti-Fascists and Serb Representatives Commemorate Jasenovac Victims

Jewish Community Holds Separate Commemoration for Jasenovac Victims

ZAGREB, April 15, 2018 - The head of the Jewish Community of Zagreb (ŽOZ) and of the Coordinating Committee of Jewish Communities in Croatia Ognjen Kraus said at a commemoration for the victims of the World War II concentration camp Jasenovac that the Croatian government and parliament must respect the constitution and the fact that the Ustasha salute "For the homeland, ready" is unconstitutional.

Divers Prevent Collapse of Levee near Jasenovac

ZAGREB, March 20, 2018 - Braving very low temperatures in the conditions of extremely poor visibility, four underwater divers worked on repairing a levee on Monday afternoon and thus prevented the collapse of the embankment at the confluence of the River Una with the River Sava near the town of Jasenovac, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) reported on Monday evening.
