Croatia to Attend World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings

ZAGREB, April 19, 2018 - A Croatian delegation, consisting of representatives of the Finance Ministry and the Croatian National Bank, will attend the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington from 19 to 22 April, the Finance Ministry announced in a press release on Thursday.

ZAGREB, March 22, 2018 - Croatian National Bank (HNB) governor Boris Vujčić said in Parliament on Thursday that it was difficult to find anywhere in the world a crisis that could be compared to the one in the Agrokor conglomerate, stressing however that although the crisis had not significantly affected Croatia's economy, it was necessary to make undermining the financial stability punishable under law.

Central Bank Struggling to Prevent Appreciation of Kuna

Total Deposits with Commercial Banks up 2.6% to 271.8 Billion Kuna

ZAGREB, Jan 16 (Hina) - Total deposits with commercial banks in Croatia reached 271.8 billion kuna at the end of November 2017, an increase of 2.6% over the same period in 2016, Raiffeisenbank Austria (RBA) says in a report, citing figures from the Croatian National Bank (HNB).
