ZAGREB, April 29, 2018 - After six years of decline and stagnation, Croatia increased the defence budget for two years in a row as it believes that investing in defence represents investing in security, prosperity and economic development, and that it makes the country a more reliable partner and ally in the European Union, NATO and the UN, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said.

Government Adopts Final Decision to Buy Israeli F-16 Jets

ZAGREB, March 29, 2018 - The Croatian government on Thursday unanimously adopted a decision on the procurement of 12 F-16 C/D Barak fighter jets that will cost Croatia 2.9 billion kuna over a ten year period, and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević said this was one of the biggest decision made in the defence sector after the 1990s Homeland War.
