ZAGREB, March 30, 2018 - The leader of the opposition Živi Zid party, Ivan Vilibor Sinčić, said on Friday that after Easter his party would submit bill to parliament on minimum guaranteed pensions, including a national old age allowance to help people who do not meet retirement conditions and have fewer than 15 years of service.

Trade Unions Opposed to Increasing Retirement Age

ZAGREB, March 20, 2018 - The Union of Autonomous Trade Unions (SSSH) on Tuesday condemned announcements, released through the media, that raising the retirement age to 67, which was to have been introduced as of 2038, will be introduced as of 2033, which means that everyone currently under the age of 52 will be required to work until they are 67.

Assets Owned by Pension Funds Grow by 9.5%

ZAGREB, February 5, 2018 - The total assets of compulsory pension insurance funds at the end of 2017 amounted to 91.9 billion kuna, which is 9.5% or around 7.7 billion kuna more than at the end of 2016, it was said at a news conference held in Zagreb on Monday by the Association of Companies Managing Pension Funds and Pension Insurance Companies (UMFO).
