U-17 Croatia Loses To Turkey

The Turkish U-17 team beat Croatia 4-1 in Rijeka.

It was a deciding match for the Croatian U-17 team at the EURO group stage, but even the home advantage did not help the team to get the win on May, 6. 2017. Turkey thrashed Croatia 4-1 and kicked the home team out from the quarter-final draw.

Karaahmet scored the opener after 18 minutes of play, and that was the final result of the first half. Turkey scored once again 9 minutes into the second half when Gul kicked the rebounded ball into the net.

Marin netted one in the 67th minute for Croatia, but all hopes for a good result were lost just two minutes later when Kabak headed the ball crossed over from the corner for yet another comfortable Turkish lead.

In the very last moments of the match, Radić scored an own goal, setting the final score which means that the Croatian team will play the final game of the tournament vs. the Spanish team in Kostrena on Tuesday with no chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.
