May the 20th, 2022 - The classic sight of Dubrovnik super yachts which could be seen each and every summer in the Pearl of the Adriatic is severely lacking this year, with rich Russian yacht and villa owners avoiding Croatia entirely owing to sanctions. It seems Turkey is set to make the profit this year. As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, a couple of years ago, there were no cruisers, but there were Dubrovnik super yachts that chose Croatia's southernmost city as their favourite destination, and spent up to half a million euros in Croatia in just three weeks. Vela Luka in 48 Hours: Hum, Vela Spila, Martina Bok, and More

May 19, 2022 - Vela Luka, on the island of Korčula, is a popular destination in the summer for those eager to explore the Croatian islands. But even in May, there are many things to do in a short time, with great weather and fewer tourists. If I blame myself for something in almost three years in Croatia, it is not having explored enough beyond the big cities and the most popular points of interest. The time has come to put excuses aside, the pandemic for example. It's definitely easier to point to a place on the Croatian map and…

Samobor, a Culinary Day Trip Treat from Zagreb with Much More than Kremsnita

May 17, 2022 - Famed for its kremsnita, Samobor is one of Zagreb's most popular day trips, and there are plenty of other local culinary delicacies to discover.  Moving to Zagreb has given me a different perspective on life in the capital. Whereas I previously came to visit the city and enjoy the increasingly diverse offer it has, as a resident, I now have one eye on what there is to explore in the region. There is a lot! With a green ring of nature, tradition, culture, gastronomy, wine roads, and adventure tourism available in Zagreb County (much more on…
