Croatia Logs 143 New Coronavirus Cases, 4 Deaths

ZAGREB, 1 Aug, 2021 - Croatia has registered 143 new coronavirus cases and four COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team said on Sunday. The number of active cases currently stands at 1,102. Of them, 150 people are receiving hospital treatment, including 12 placed on ventilators. 4,029 people are self-isolating. A total of 2,305,717 people have been tested to date, including 6,017 in the last 24 hours. Zagreb Police Candidates to Learn Turkish Language Starting November 2021

August 01, 2021 - The Zagreb Police Academy signed an agreement with The Yunus Emre Institute of Turkey on July 30, 2021, to make Turkish language education mandatory for Zagreb police candidates. As Andalou Agency reported, the Turkish language will be taught to police candidates at the beginning of November this year. July Tourist Figures in Croatia: 3.7 Million Arrivals, Most Overnight Stays in Istria

August 1, 2021 - The July tourist figures in Croatia confirm an excellent summer so far! In July 2021, there were 3.7 million arrivals and 25 million overnight stays in Croatia, i.e., 47 percent more arrivals and 33 percent more overnight stays than in the same period last year. July 31, 2021 - In a clear sign of recovery, Makarska registers 56 thousand guests on its riviera, reaching 70% of what was achieved in 2019, a record year for tourism in the Dalmatian town.
