Initiative Signed for Green Passenger Catamarans

ZAGREB, 25 Oct 2021 - An initiative called "Autonomous electric vessels for smart islands and cities" was signed on Monday with the aim to build 21 green catamarans, watercraft with zero harmful emissions that rely solely on green fuels. 3,820 Students, 554 Teachers Positive for Coronavirus

ZAGREB, 25 Oct 2021 - At the moment 3,820 students and 554 teachers are positive for coronavirus, a decision to switch to online classes can be made by local authorities in cooperation with county COVID-19 response teams, and for now the education ministry does not plan to change the school year calendar. The calendar is defined by the decision adopted in late April, regarding the start and end of the school year, the number of working days and the duration of school breaks, the ministry told Hina on Monday. ZSE Indices Go in Opposite Directions Amid Intensified Trading

ZAGREB, 25 Oct 2021 - The Zagreb Stock Exchange Crobex index weakened by 0.07% to 2,046 points and the Crobex10 increased by 0.12% to 1,245 points on Monday. Broken down by sectors, the construction index fell by 5.12% and the index of tourist companies increased 0.42%. Today's turnover totaled roughly 9 million kuna, six million more than on Friday. Croatia, India Wish to Intensify Bilateral Relations

ZAGREB, 25 Oct 2021 - Croatia and India wish to improve bilateral relations, notably cultural cooperation, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Indian Council for Cultural Relations Director General Dinesh Patnaik said on Monday. ZAGREB, 25 Oct 2021 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Monday received Ljerka Perešin, the widow of the legendary Croatian pilot, Brigadier Rudolf Perešin, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his flight with a Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) MiG-21 fighter jet from Bihać to Austria. Ten Griffon Vultures Released from Sanctuary on Cres Island

October 25, 2021 - Ten fully recovered griffon vultures were released back to nature on Monday from the sanctuary in Beli on the island of Cres. All of the birds are the chicks hatched this year in the nests built on the east-facing steep cliffs near Beli on Cres. Croatia Has 237,000 Fewer Inhabitants than 2011: Breakdown by City and County

October 25, 2021 - The Central Bureau of Statistics has published an estimate of the number of inhabitants by cities, municipalities and counties at the end of 2020. An estimate which says that Croatia has 237,000 fewer inhabitants than 2011, reports Index.hr. According to the CBS, at the end of 2020 Croatia had about four million and 48 thousand inhabitants, which is about 237 thousand less than in the last census in 2011.
