Export in Jan-Aug Up by 25.5%, Import by 19.8%

ZAGREB, 8 Oct 2021 - Croatia's commodity exports in the first eight months of 2021 was HRK 87.7 billion, up 25.5% on the year, while import increased 19.8% to HRK 134.6 billion, the national statistical office said on Friday. The foreign trade deficit increased by HRK 4.45 billion to 46.9 billion. Coverage of imports by export was 65.9%. The export of goods to EU countries was HRK 59.7 billion (+25.2%), while import was HRK 103.4 billion (+16.3%). Associations Call for Lifting Restrictions on Work of Night Clubs, Bars

ZAGREB, 8 Oct 2021 - The Voice of Entrepreneurs association and an association of owners of night clubs and bars have called for lifting restrictions on the work of such establishments, which is now limited to midnight, noting that many operate illegally despite the restrictions on working hours. ZSE Indices Climb Slowly for Sixth Day in a Row

ZAGREB, 7 Oct 2021 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices strengthened mildly on Thursday with the Crobex increasing for the sixth day in a row amid a somewhat lower turnover than the day before. The Crobex strengthened by 0.24% on Thursday to 2,038 points while the Crobex10 increased by 0.32% to 1,249 points. Zagreb Stock Exchange: Crobex Indices Stable

ZAGREB, 6 Oct, 2021 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices increased on Wednesday, the Crobex by 0.03% to 2,033 points, its highest level since February 2020, and the Crobex10 by 0.01% to 1,245 points, its highest level since March 2017. Regular turnover was HRK 13.5 million. Another HRK 4.5 million was generated in a block transaction with Atlantic Group stock at HRK 1,550 per share. Croatian Bureau of Statistics: New record Jump in Industrial Producer Prices

ZAGREB, 6 Oct, 2021 - Croatia's industrial producer prices jumped by 12.1% in September 2021 compared with the same month in 2020, their highest rise since January 2011, according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. This was the seventh month in a row to see an increase in industrial producer prices on an annual level, following the 9.3% rise in August. Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) Regains Investment Grade Status

ZAGREB, 6 Oct, 2021 - Standard&Poor’s (S&P) ratings agency has upgraded the credit rating of Croatia's state-owned energy producer Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) from BB+ to BBB-, so that now it is the same as the sovereign credit rating. It is the first time since 2009 that HEP's credit rating has been restored to investment grade, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. ZAGREB, 5 Oct, 2021 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices closed mixed on Tuesday, with the Crobex gaining 0.26% to reach 2,032 points and the Crobex10 shedding 0.23% to end the day at 1,245 points.
