Valamar Hotels Win Big at the Prestigious World Travel Awards in Sardinia

By 9 September 2016

Valamar Riviera Hotel, Valamar Club Tamaris, and Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik hotels brought home awards in various categories from the World Travel Awards. The awards ceremony took place in Sardinia on September 5, and further confirms Valamar as a leader in Croatian hotels.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Valamar Riviera Hotel in Poreč has been named the leading Croatian boutique hotel, and family hotel Valamar Club Tamaris was awarded for the third year in a row as the leading seaside resort in Croatia at this year's World Travel Awards for 2016.

Another Valamar hotel that proudly won is the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik Hotel, awarded for the third year in a row as the leading business hotel, and also awarded as the leading hotel in Croatia, which it also won in 2013 and 2015.

Valamar won awards in all four nominated categories, completely outperforming the competition in which were respectively renowned Croatian hotels, many of them from the category of five stars.

The World Travel Awards came to fruition in 1993, with this year’s 23rd edition giving it the utmost recognition in rewarding the world's achievements in the tourism sector. The Wall Street Journal even named the awards the "travel industry's Oscar,”. Candidates are elected by voices of professionals from the tourism industry - and it is truly a great honor to be in the running for the coveted statuette.
