To celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, Advent in Split is truly your happy place. While the Christmas Market is full with mulled wine, hot sausages and holiday spirit, it’s important to remember that many Split restaurants also join in on the holiday fun, and what better way to celebrate than with Brasserie on 7?
Brasserie on 7, everyone’s favorite rendezvous on the Riva, has kicked up a sweet deal to satisfy your sweet tooth: Sweet Tuesdays are back.
Brasserie on 7, everyone’s favorite riva restaurant, is as much about the drink as it is the food. Have you seen their beer selection?
In the land of seafood, mixed meats, charcuteries & crusty breads, and all of the vegetables you can imagine, we usually leave our meals overly content, stuffed to the max, and wanting to refuse the sight of anymore food possibly coming our way...unless it’s dessert. If you’re in Split, you’re in trouble - here are some of the top dessert destinations you won’t want to miss.
It seems that just a few years ago it was nearly impossible to get a good breakfast in Split. Sure we had omelettes and basic eggs, but a real, hearty breakfast was hard to come by. Today, it is hard to believe the amount of breakfast options we have in the city, many serving their takes on classic egg dishes and fan favorites like French toast and pancakes. Because we don’t want anyone to go hungry before lunch time, here are some great breakfast options for you to frequent during your early mornings in Split.
Because we would never want to be phased with a task as hard as rating the best burgers, nor would we want to take on that challenge considering the current burger revolution in Croatia - so instead we give to you the best institutions to burger up in Split.
Brasserie on 7, one of our favorite riva restaurants, is always a necessary go-to while you’re in Split. The laidback ambiance, chic atmosphere, and undeniable quality has propelled this restaurant to be a leading force in the Split restaurant scene. Another thing that separates B7 from the rest? They serve breakfast!
Our Splitska Riva can be enjoyed as one of the most picturesque settings in Split; palm trees lining the boat lined Adriatic, cafes permeating the smells of coffee through the air, and perhaps most importantly, Brasserie on 7.
The feeling that the new season is upon us will take another step forward tomorrow as the Split waterfront welcomes a quality addition to the gastro scene, as Brasserie on 7 opens its doors for the first time.
Superbly located in the middle of Riva where the old T-Com shop used to be, I predict that it will not be long before Brasserie becomes THE place on the city's stylish waterfront to be seen, and I really like the concept of the owners, which is bringing one more welcome addition to Split's emerging gastro scene.
7 has plenty of space with 140 seats outside and 40 inside, and I thoroughly enjoyed our sneak preview yesterday around the interior, which, apart from having arguably the most impressive kitchens in the entire city, is an outstanding interior space, which has been well utlised and imaginatively designed. The restaurant grand opening is scheduled for April 17, and tomorrow's opening of the cafe is a little more low key, but I do encourage you to wander past, put your head in, then take a seat and enjoy. More details on the restaurant, concept of Brasserie on 7 coming shortly.
Brasserie on 7 is the latest project from those fabulous Australian ladies who have been bucking the trend of unsuccessful foreign entrepreneurs, and they are gradually getting closer to the water. Don't let the image of cool Aussie chicks fool you either - these ladies are among the hardest-working in the city, with a clear vision of what they are trying to achieve, and it has been a pleasure to track their success over the years, which has been full of innovation.
Opening one of the first hostels in Split almost ten years ago at the back of the palace, it quickly became clear that there were few cool places to take their guests for a night out, expecially out of peak season, so they opened their own bar, and Charlie's is now one of THE places in the palace. As the years went by and the partying days starting to mellow, a glass of wine and good conversation over a quality meal became the preferred nighttime activity, and the concept of Zinfandel was born last summer, quickly becoming one of the top bar and restaurant options in the city.
Zinfandel was at the front of the palace, closer to the sea than the hostel, but the fabulous ladies have finally got their sea view, with the opening of Brasserie on 7. The location is fantastic, the concept is fantastic, and we will be going into a lot more detail in the coming days.
Check it out from tomorrow and follow Brasserie on 7 on Facebook.
