Wonderful shot of Jelsa in the late 19th Century, with thanks to Miquel Hudin from www.vinologue.net

I am very grateful to Miquel Hudin for a couple of reasons. Firstly, for putting me right on the relationship between Zinfandel and Plavac Mali for an article I wrote about Croatian wines the other day. Checking out his very informative website about, among other regions, the wines of Dalmatia, as well as what looks to be a very comprehensive guide to Dalmatian wines

I also came across this wonderful photograph of Jelsa in the 19th Century, which Miquel has allowed me to use with his permission. It comes from this blog piece

Jelsa in history

He estimates the year at between 1870 and 1880 for reasons explained in his blog. Does anyone have any insight into the year, or more information about the picture?
